Το 2008 με φωτογραφίες (Part3)
2008 has been an eventful year to say the least - it is difficult to sum up the thousands of stories in just a handful of photographs. That said, I will try to do what I've done with other photo narratives here, and tell a story of 2008 in photographs. It's not the story of 2008, it's certainly not all stories, but as a collection it does show a good portion of what life has been like over the past 12 months. This is a multi-entry story, 120 photographs over three days. Look for part 1 from yesterday and part 3 tomorrow. (40 photos total)

Perfectly Timed Photos
Όταν ο χρόνος και το χέρι του φωτογράφου είναι τέλεια συγχρονισμένα μεταξύ τους, τότε το αποτέλεσμα δεν είναι μόνο υπέροχο, αλλά και πολύ αστείο!
When the time and the hand of the photographer are perfect synchronized then the result is not only fabulous but funny too!
Που θα φάμε ;
Μερικά μαγευτικά μέρη όπου το δείπνο δεν θα είναι μία απλή διαδικασία αλλά μία απίστευτη και μοναδική εμπειρία!!!

Εάν εξαιρέσουμε τα προβλήματα που δημιουργούνται,
κάτι τέτοιο είναι πολύ ρομαντικό . . .
Όταν η μητέρα έχει έμπνευση
Η μητέρα του μικρού κοριτσιού είναι ένας ειδικός υπολογιστών από το Ελσίνκι, Φινλανδία.
Ενώ η κόρη της είναι πλήρως κοιμισμένη, αυτή δημιουργεί ένα εντελώς διαφορετικό κόσμο. . . από ό, τι μπορεί να βρει γύρω της!
Έτσι κάπως οι δυο τους έγινε πραγματικά διάσημες.
Κι όμως είναι τούρτες !!!!

Πάντρεμα εποχών (Φωτογραφικό υλικό)
Το παρόν συναντά το παρελθόν μέσα από την φωτογραφική δουλειά του Sergey Larenkov.
Ο Ρώσος φωτογράφος και γραφίστας Sergey Larenkov έχει ξεκινήσει ένα εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον project.
Χρησιμοποιώντας Photoshop συνενώνει παλιές φωτογραφίες από την περίοδο του B’ παγκοσμίου πολέμου με σύγχρονες φωτογραφίες του ίδιου ακριβώς σημείου σε διάφορες τοποθεσίες της Ευρώπης. Τo έργο του Larenkov ανανεώνεται συνεχώς στο online ημερολόγιο που διατηρεί. Στις φωτογραφίες που έχει αναρτήσει έως τώρα διακρίνονται σημεία από το Βερολίνο, την Πράγα, την Βιέννη, την Αγία Πετρούπολη και άλλες Ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις.
Η δουλειά που έχει γίνει με το Photoshop είναι εκπληκτική, όπως επίσης εξαιρετικό είναι και το ταίριασμα των φωτογραφιών που έχουν τραβηχτεί από την ίδια ακριβώς γωνία και έχουν συνενωθεί δίνοντας ένα πολύ ισχυρό οπτικό αποτέλεσμα.
Οι εικόνες από τις παλιές φωτογραφίες μοιάζουν σαν φαντάσματα του παρελθόντος και θυμίζουν σκοτεινές για την Ευρώπη εποχές που οι περισσότεροι από εμάς δεν έχουν ζήσει ποτέ. Η αντιπαράθεση των πανομοιότυπων τοποθεσιών του τότε με το τώρα σοκάρει, θυμίζοντας μας πόσο λίγος χρόνος έχει περάσει από την εποχή του πολέμου και πόσο γρήγορα αλλάζει ο κόσμος. Κάθε εικόνα αξίζει κυριολεκτικά 1000 λέξεις.

Explanation: Behold one of the more detailed images of the Earth yet created. This Blue Marble Earth montage shown above -- created from photographs taken by the Visible/Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument on board the new Suomi NPP satellite -- shows many stunning details of our home planet. The Suomi NPP satellite was launched last October and renamed last week after Verner Suomi, commonly deemed the father of satellite meteorology. The composite was created from the data collected during four orbits of the robotic satellite taken earlier this month and digitally projected onto the globe. Many features of North America and the Western Hemisphere are particularly visible on a high resolution version of the image. Previously, several other Blue Marble Earth images have been created, some at even higher resolution.
